Festival of Quilts 2026

Three Out of the Fold members will be appearing at the Festival of Quilts which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from 30th July until 2nd August 2026.www.thefestivalofquilts.co.uk/

Sarah Boardman will have a stand QIA20 in the ‘Meet the Teacher’ zone and will be offering workshops on every day of the festival on her Swedish Weaving Embroidery techniques. www.sbtextileart.co.uk/

Nicola Whayman will be in the Creative Textiles studio on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning where she will be demonstrating cordage with plant and preloved materials and small weaves. www.thefestivalofquilts.co.uk/creative-textiles-studio/

Mary McIntosh will have a stand QIA15 and will be giving a talk in the main theatre on Friday afternoon ‘Storytelling in textile art’. Mary will be demonstrating her lutradur to colour and burn in the Creative Textiles studio on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.www.thefestivalofquilts.co.uk/talks/

    This is so good. I will be there Saturday and Sunday to man Sarah’s stand while she teaches the workshop. Nicola, sadly will miss your studio sessions but would love to catch up with you sometime, interested in what you do as I’m a weaver. Every success to you all.
