Frances works from her home and studio situated in the depths of the South Norfolk countryside. She combines hand stitching, particularly enjoying working with metal threads, with machine embroidery and mixed media using traditional techniques in a contemporary manner.
Inspiration comes from surroundings at home and away, historical artefacts, visits to museums, scientific adventures and discoveries.
She studied textiles with The Open College of the Arts and embroidery with City and Guilds.
